Winter walking in Scotland can be really wonderful. Pick the right conditions and weather and you can be in a Winter Wonderland.

One of the best areas to find the snow is on the Cairngorm plateau due to its 4000 foot status. Aviemore makes a perfect base to explore the Cairngorms and quality accommodation at reasonable prices can be found in the Winter season.
