Bridge destroyed on River Almond at Dunan
Bridge destroyed on River Almond at Dunan.
The Bridge on the River Almond at Dunan has been down for some time now. It shows the power of nature in these narrow glens. The sheer power of water has destroyed many bridges on Rights of Way in Perthshire. In dry weather the river can be easily crossed but in poor weather a slight detour is required.
Glen Almond is a wonderful area for walking and enjoying nature. As a holiday destination for those wishing to get away from it all it can't be beaten. There is a large range of accommodation with some fabulous self catering cottages in remote locations.
