Stanley Mills, a unique complex of water-powered cotton mills, is situated within walking distance on the banks of the River Tay (¾ mile), and a wide range of outdoor activities are also available nearby, including fishing, cycling, white water rafting, clay pigeon shooting, canyoning, archery and golf.
