Walk Glen Almond Perthshire Scotland
Walk Glen Almond, Perthshire, Scotland.
Glen Almond in North Perthshire, Scotland, really has everything you could want in a Scottish Glen. You can take a gentle walk alongside the River Almond from Newton Bridge in the Sma' Glen, or climb a munro, corbett or graham if you're feeling energetic! The right of way carries on through to Loch Tay if you have a willing driver.
Although the Glen is now depopulated, it has a wealth of history attached to it, and points of interest are never far away. The land owners are happy to allow camping outwith the shooting season, but please note that the bothy is locked.
A section of Glen Almond has been adopted as part of the Rob Roy Way long distance path from Drymen to Pitlochry.
