Wild Fungi in Perthshire Chanterelle

Wild Fungi in Perthshire, Chanterelle, 12th July 2010.

The chanterelle are a bit later this year in Perthshire due to the dry period in June. Some of the patches that I'd normally be collecting from haven't appeared at all. The chanterelle is one of the easiest wild fungi to identify, although the false chanterelle does appear later in the Autumn. I enjoyed a nice evening walk tonight, 12th July 2010, and collecting a few chanterelles for my supper was the icing on the cake!
