Popular with fishermen, for its pink-fleshed trout, the loch is also a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, with the RSPB Nature Reserve, Vane Farm, occupying the land adjacent. Historic Perth (15 miles) offers good shopping, restaurants and a wealth of diverse attractions, whilst Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour’s drive.
