View from Creag Mhor Sutherland Scotland

View from Creag Mhor, Sutherland, Scotland.

Creag Mhor in Sutherland is one of the most remote hills in Scotland. The view from the summit is outstanding taking in Ben Klibreck to the West, Ben Loyal to the North as well as a series of fishing Lochs to the East. Creag Mhor is classified as a 'Graham', a Scottish Hill between 2000 and 2500 feet. It may not be the biggest, but it requires a fair bit of effort to climb it as well as Ben Armine, another Graham.

It is best to cycle the first part of the walk, as at over 40K for the route, it would be a long day otherwise! As it was I reckon it was 7 hours even with the mountain bikes!

Sutherland is one of my favourite places in Scotland for outdoor activities, natural beauty and wildlife, never mind the history and geology. It really has something for everyone!

If you'd like to come to Sutherland, here is a list of available self catering cottages. Enjoy!
