Glen Lyon North Perthshire Scotland

Glen Lyon, North Perthshire, Scotland.

Looking down the ridge of Meall Garbh, a munro on the Ben Lawers ridge, towards Glen Lyon, one of the longest Glens in Scotland. It's possible to do all seven of the munros on the Lawers ridge in one walk, but it helps having two drivers! On a nice day in July, we climbed the three munros to the East in a lovely walk from Lawers village.

The Graham of Meall a Mhuic can be seen above Glen Lyon. It makes for a shorter walk from Innerwick near Bridge of Balgie. Glen Lyon really gives the feel of a remote Glen in Scotland and is typical of the scenery in Highland Perthshire.

If you'd like to visit Highland Perthshire, Ben Grianan is a delightful self catering cottage in Glen Lyon.
