Large Holiday Cottage sleeps six with views of the Grampians Glenisla Blairgowrie

Large Holiday Cottage, sleeps six, with views of the Grampians, Glenisla, Blairgowrie. Tucked away behind its own little wood, the delightful 18th-century Clover Cottage is reached from its parking area via a short track across a stream (toddlers beware!). Lovingly restored, Claypotts has its own large garden with views towards the great massif of the Grampians. The 18th-century Claypotts, (which has a bathroom for each bedroom) is to be found in an utterly peaceful glen at the heart of the estate and with its own enclosed garden leading down to the River Isla – a famous tributary of the River Tay. To complete the group is Brewlands Cottage, a 17th-century, cosy and very comfortable property occupying a lovely riverside location with views encompassing the high hills and surrounding quiet countryside. Boasting its own large enclosed garden it makes a super retreat for couples or families. Apart from wonderful walking from the door and a wealth of bird-watching, fishing (with rod hire) on trout lochs and on the 7-mile river frontage can be enjoyed, with shooting and stalking available by prior arrangement. Excellent golf courses for the enthusiast at St Andrews, Carnoustie, Gleneagles and Rosemount.
The ski resort at Glenshee is 35 minutes by car, as is Pitlochry with its Festival Theatre, restaurants and kilt and cashmere shops. Canoeing and sailing 2½ miles, and an adventure centre 20 minutes away. Pony trekking at Balmoral Estate and many castles and stately homes to visit including Balmoral, Glamis, Blair Atholl, Scone Palace and Braemar (home to the Highland Games). The famous Whisky Trail is easily accessible, with many of the distilleries offering guided tours and the chance to sample the local firewater at the end of the tour. Riding centre 6 miles. Pubs 2 miles.
