Creag Mhor Holiday Cottage, Aviemore, Scotland.
Review by Claire, @CRPitt on Twitter.
'Creag Mhor is the perfect place to stay in Aviemore. Even though it so close to the town itself, it is situated in a quiet and peaceful estate. If you arrive by train and have loads of luggage, it is a cheap taxi ride that takes just a few minutes, as of 19th May 2010 it was £3.80. If I didn't have so much luggage I would have walked it, which would have taken about 10/15 minutes.
The cottage was decorated to a very high standard, had all the mod cons and it really was very homely. I was visiting because of a wedding, so lots of family where staying in various other holiday rentals and Creag Mhor was miles nicer than all of them.
A perfect find via twitter @walkscotland who was exceptionally helpful from the word go and answered all my questions. Other tip: If you are travelling from Liverpool/Warrington area you can get return train tickets for £35, that + Creag Mhor makes a trip to Aviemore a wonderful escape trip anytime of the year if you plan ahead.'
