On Approach to Schiehallion 16.08.09
Whilst we very much enjoyed a walk on Schiehallion on 16th August, it does remind us that you need to be aware of unpredictable weather on Scottish Mountains! A day that started in lovely sunshine soon deteriorated when we hit 3000 feet. Whilst the wind was ferocious, the cloud level was sufficiently high that we didn't get much rain.
It's not easy to pose, when the wind is whipping round at the summit! Well done to Jim and Marie Watson, who took up munro bagging at the age of 70 on Ben Nevis, and at 74 are now doing repeat munros, as they were on Schiehallion!
