Aviemore, Braemar and the Moray Coast are all within an hour’s drive and the ski centres at the Lecht and Cairngorm are also easily accessible. Visit the fairytale Ballindalloch Castle (2 miles) or the ruins of Drumin Castle and its walled garden. River fishing (by permit only) can be arranged on the River Avon or Spey or travel a short distance north to sample the wonderful clean beaches of the Moray Firth around Lossiemouth and Nairn.
