The bothy fire Duinish Bothy.
Self catering in the Highlands of Scotland found us huddled round the fire in Duinish Bothy. And what a fire it proved to be thanks in the main to the Estate workers who had left us some logs.
Miles from the nearest road with no services this really is the best get away from it all holiday bargain to be had in Scotland. What more could you ask for, comfortable accommodation, good food and good company. Well to be honest a roaring fire and a malt whisky just caps off a fantastic atmosphere.
Whether you are hillwalking, cycling, fishing or just need a relaxing break, head for a Scottish Mountain Bothy and have a great time even on a tight budget.
