Dun-Caan Independent Hostel Kyleakin

Dun-Caan Independent Hostel Kyleakin.

Explore the beautiful and magical Isle of Skye from the perfect base set on the harbour front in the idyllic fishing village of Kyleakin. Overlooking the ruins of the ancient Castle Moil, once the home of a Norwegian Viking Princess, affectionately known as Saucy Mary. The Dun Caan Hostel is reputed to be built from stones of the former castle some 200 years ago ...

A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you in this small hostel with the great international reputation. No detail has been spared to make this a truly relaxing "home from home"; A well equipped self catering kitchen where teas and coffees are free, a comfortable common room with TV and video, hot showers, comfy pillows and continental quilts supplied with clean bed linen. All at no extra charge and designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cosy dorm rooms consist of 6, 6 and 4 beds. This hostel has a NO SMOKING policy.
The hosts Terry and Laila are sure to be sharing many interests with you as they have travelled far and wide: Laila from her native Viking homeland of Norway, complete with folklore and legends. Terry from the West Country of England, a now retired commercial deep-sea diver, with a wide knowledge also of Scottish Mountain Walks.
