Detached Croft Holiday Cottage near Quiraing, Staffin, Isle of Skye. This traditional, detached croft house, Kiltrock, is situated in the north east of the island which boasts splendid rock formations such as the ’Old Man of Storr’ and the beautiful Quiraing. On the doorstep is the dramatic Kilt Rock and there are also many museums and sites of historical interest, including Armadale Castle, The Museum of The Isles as well as the attractive gardens and nature trails. The area is popular for walkers and climbers, and there are many organised bus and boat trips allowing you to appreciate the fantastic scenery on the island, whilst Portree, the island capital is 17 miles south or Uig, the ferry terminal for the Western Isles is also an enjoyable drive. A day trip to Dunvegan with its castle is a wonderfully scenic journey. Shop and restaurant, 1 mile, pub 3 miles. Ground floor: Living room. Dining room/kitchen.
