Took time out this week on the Isle of Skye to visit the graves of two unlikely friends who became legends in the Cuillin of Skye. John MacKenzie and Norman Collie are immortalised in the Cuillin range, Collies ledge, Sgurr Thormaid and Sgurr Mhic Choinnich demonstrating their impact on climbing in the Cuillin in the early years.
Even in death, MacKenzie looks over the grave of Collie, as if a friendly hand on the shoulder guides him on his journey.
