Morrone from Memorial Park.

We stopped in Braemar on Friday 3rd September 2010 to look at preparations for the 2010 Braemar Gathering. Memorial Park was looking really well prior to the entertainment the next day. The Gathering always falls on the first Saturday in September and provides a dazzling array of entertainment for the Royal guests.

One of the races is the hill race up the corbett of Morrone. Whilst Morrone isn't the most difficult hill, (I walked up it once with half a shoe after melting it at the camp fire!) I marvel at the fitness of the athletes taking part!
